Abstract

Occupational therapy in Nigeria is taking a major step into the future with the establishment of collaboration between Federal School of Occupational Therapy in Lagos, Nigeria, and the Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences (MCOAHS), Manipal University, India. Nigerian students are now able to gain degree level credentials in order to enhance and promote the occupational therapy profession in Nigeria. The past and present are described in this article. Challenges and successes are highlighted and a commitment to the future is laid out.
