Abstract

The use of social media for professional development has been on the increase. The WFOT now has a Facebook identity for instance. Occupational therapy groups around the world have formed together to share their information, promote events and activities, and discuss current issues. This case study describe the development of a popular online occupational therapy weekly forum in China. Occupational therapists and others rehabilitation professionals share and learn about aspects of occupational therapy through social media where written material and other professional literature access is minimal or not available in their own language.
