Keywords:

This case study describes a strengths-based narrative storytelling intervention that utilises trauma-informed recovery and an occupational therapy approach for unaccompanied refugee minors living in Greece. In this pilot programme, storytelling with creative formats (comic book, audio recordings, photography) is facilitated in a community-based environment that supports empowerment, healing, and resilience, while building individual mastery, community integration, and life skills. The article describes the experiences and observations that led the occupational therapist to design this curriculum and the lessons learned from implementation. The programme draws on multidisciplinary techniques and clinical reasoning to provide an innovative approach to occupational therapy within a dynamic, multicultural context that addresses solutions in response to the largest humanitarian crisis in modern history.Downloads
