Effective teaching is a balancing act of many preparative tasks and attempts to engage and assess students. Bain (2004) researched qualities and practices of best college teachers and reported that best teachers create a natural critical learning environment where the thinking skills and desired end goals are embedded into authentic learning tasks. This teaching-learning approach facilitates development of critical thinking skills concurrently while learning the critical skills for their discipline. Through implementation of interprofessional learning opportunities and assessment, our objective is to establish authentic experiential learning for producing desired student outcomes of increased role definition and increased interprofessional readiness.Downloads
