Abstract

In the acute care setting a comprehensive pre-vocational evaluation can be effectively provided by a team of rehabilitation specialists as a transition from the medical setting to community re-entry by assisting in determining vocational readiness. The role of the occupational therapist in contributing to individual performance assessment, work readiness determination and recommendations for job site adaptations continues to be significant.
