Abstract

This article describes the occupational therapist's action in consultation liaison regarding the implications of dealing with death and with the reactions of individuals to this. With these fundamental issues, the occupational therapist using the model of human occupation takes into account the participants, the therapeutic relationship and the intervention process, emphazising the volition aspect in order to achieve the adaptation of individuals to events associated with death.
