Abstract

To meet the teaching needs of clinical educators and clinical supervisors, a structured course was designed to run over 14 weeks of three hour sessions. The format and instructional layout of the course was designed to provide consistency of material to be presented for beginning clinical educators. Teaching sessions were set up to provide a practical knowledge base upon which participants were able to build skills through active involvement, limiting the amount of lecture time to provide opportunities for group discussion and other interactive means to actively involve participants.
