Das Ergotherapeutische Assessment als Prozess

Abstract

In Germany, geriatric clients are traditionally being assessed by means which have been developed by physicians. Now a group of occupational therapists is in the process of creating an assessment specifically to be used by our profession. It is designed to be an instrument to assess the client and to support therapy planning, documentation and evaluation. In this article we will impart the application of assessments used in Germany, focus and illustrate the development of the occupational therapy assessment. We also wish to achieve international discussion about assessments.
