Abstract

This article describes a consultancy role for psychoanalytically trained occupational therapists in community mental health centers. Activities and relationships with patients having severe mental illness are the focus of the occupational therapist who works with groups of mental health workers. Special attention is paid to the problems of subjectivity for psychotic patients and for the people who work with them. Examples are given of specific activity and discussion sessions.
