Innovative Advanced Master's Degree Programs around the World

Abstract

Worldwide, there has been an increased demand for Master's/PhD level education for occupational therapists. This paper summarises a workshop presenting the benefits of obtaining an advanced degree in Occupational Therapy, and showcases a number of programs from Europe, United States of America, Canada and Australia. A linking theme between these programs is that they are innovative, hold a global perspective, have an element of distance education and are accessible to OT's worldwide. These programs are not qualifying programs but are advanced post-professional Masters programs for qualified occupational therapists.
